Types of Anxiety
Sound Bite: 1 min
In its essence, anxiety is a very robust disorder. Since the majority of an anxious response can be characterized as “autonomic” or “fight or flight”, which are terms to be explained in a later chapter, it is far more effective to closely examine the peripheral aspects and details of each kind of anxiety.
In doing so, more distinct classes or types of anxiety can be formulated and therefore uniquely catered to in the treatment process. However, for the sake of time and your attention span, the explanations of the different kinds of anxiety will be heavily summarized and not very technically detailed. If you would prefer a complete and more comprehensive list of symptoms for each disorder, please refer to your audiobook companion PDF, which comes free with your purchase, to learn more about these disorders in greater detail.
